I have a #kings_and_heroes room on my channel I set up a while back. https://discord.gg/S75wA
No one is ever on it though.
I'm sure the IG team will set an official one up when they get a chance, though.

RE: Familars/Pets (Original Idea By Eropa) (Additions To Idea By General Orrick) (HAD AN ERROR)
For the Bruiser class pet, how about having your friendly wolf mount being able to attack as a friendly beast?
Since mounts aren't summon able in dungeons, the same key could allow you to summon it as a pet to attack mobs, etc.
Textures in the latest patch
Does anyone have any issues with the textures not loading all the way in the most recent patch? It appears the bump maps are not loading correctly in town, but I can see them 100% in the hero select screen upon starting and exiting the game. I noticed it in town on my and other characters, and also on the foliage as well. I even tried different settings in the graphic options but it didn't seem to help.
Boss Rush type mode
How about adding a boss rush type mode similar to The Binding of Issac (even though the game is nothing like Kings and Heroes LOL)
For those of you that haven't played BoI: To trigger it you basically have to defeat to the end boss before a certain time limit, then a hidden door will open and you're placed in a large arena where you have to defeat 2 different bosses at a time until you defeat all the bosses in the game, and then you get a certain item for defeating boss mode with the character you played.
It's pretty challenging and it's nice being able to get an item from there you cant get in any other mode or in the normal game
But in Kings and Heroes, since there's no time limit, I was thinking if a similar mode is added, it can only be for the expert level 50 players, and they can choose that mode from the tavern when starting a dungeon, then after defeating the mode you can get some legendary items.
RE: Kings and Heroes avatars for Facerig
So I posted on the Facerig forums a while back and they they suggest for the dev team to reach out them to get some Kings and Heroes avatars in FaceRig
RE: Rogue Feedback
• Wall Run - Needs to be made useful as a movement ability and not a gimmick to get a random chest in caves. I would like to see this changed into a lunge.
• Throw Dagger - Still a worthless ability. Would like to see this replaced with some kind of defensive or utility ability. Our biggest problems are we take a lot of damage and are shut down when CC'd.
From what I played of the Rogue, I didn't find the wall run all successful but in certain situations, like in Prince of Persia the Sands of Time. Maybe it is situational like Trup suggested
Throw Dagger, I use it to spam foes at a distance, but with no cooldown and little damage, it's not too useful.
RE: Cleric Feedback
John, some other thoughts I had (I think posted in the Steam forums too but I cant find the thread) were on the Second Sight spell, I know it is currently buggy at the moment with the camera being inside the NPC model - but also by the time you get within range to use it, you are seen by the NPC anyways so it is pretty useless, I would suggest upping the range on the spell, or maybe change the function of the spell entirely. Perhaps change it where you can actually possess the NPC for a limited time, or instead use it as a means of turning an enemy NPC as friendly for a short time, so he will attack his own allies.
The Holy light spell - I know the AOE radius was recently changed to do more damage and a bit wider (with higher recharge), but the visual effect did not seem to change since launch. I do not seem to use it as often as Smite.
What about changing the Holy Light to an actually be a light source for in dark areas like the Wizard's light spell?
Divine Shield - Does it only work for projectiles or does it work for melee as well? I was thinking maybe on the higher levels of the spell, there can be a chance to reflect the projectile/damage back at the source so it will do some damage back (in Rogue Legacy there was an item you can craft from the blacksmith with 'Retribution' status that would do 50% damage back to any damage you received from enemies or traps that worked really well).
Blessing of Wisdom - I think it should be permanently applied to your character's spell power, but you should also be able to cast it on allies, maybe with a longer cooldown? Sometimes when i aim to cast it at an ally, it will just cast it on myself instead.
Healing spells - Right now we have Heal, Group Heal, Channel Heal, and Regen
The Group heal, right now it looks like you need to stand in one place and hold the ability button you have mapped, and it will heal those around you but the description says it sends a blast of holy magic to those around you , which makes me think its an instantaneous spell.
Channel Heal and Regen: Are they pretty much the same type of spell but one you have to target and heal and the regen you cast once on your target and then it will gradually heal? In this case I think the Regen might be better and have it as a 'fire and forget at your alliy' type spell.
Keeping with the Holy theme or the Cleric, what about adding a 'guardian angel' type spell? You could cast it as a familiar on yourself or on an ally, and it could fly at about shoulder height or so and protect the target by taking its damage & healing, and maybe doing some melee damage as well.
Since I did not see a thread started for this class yet I thought I'd start one.
The most important thing I think would help this class as a support/healer to succeed is to have onscreen HUD directional indicators on who needs healing reviving, etc.
Many times there is so much chaos going on, if someone is down or needs healing or reviving, its hard to see what direction they are when they are off-screen. You can only tell by the team/health indicators on the upper left of the HUD..
I think some other games that do this well are Team Fortress 2 when playing as the Medic, or Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warefare when playing as the Scientist or Sunflower classes. Could something similar be implemented in Kings and Heroes?
Kings and Heroes avatars for Facerig
So I purchased FaceRig over the Steam Winter sale with the Live 2D addon and all the free DLC and finally started to mess with it recording gameplay videos and streaming with Kings and Heroes. Here is my recording from earlier tonight, I think the dragon is the best Avatar suited for Kings and Heroes streaming, though I still have to mess with the settings (there's advanced face tracking settings) and get it optimized while running K&H and streaming at the same time, my video card and computer are not new (close to 2 years), but I do have a lot of RAM.
It looks like the other free DLC Avatars are from other indie games on Steam as well (Octodad, Starbound, DreadOut, Trials Fusion). Do you think you guys can work with with the FaceRig devs (Holotech Studios) on getting some Kings and Heroes Avatars for use with FaceRig? Per this thread they can rig them, time permitting.
Or since I do have 3D Character Animation experience with rigging and animating do you mind if I take a stab at trying to convert one of the K&H models for FaceRig?
I was thinking some of the characters that might work well are Helga (fortune teller), Samrock (the bouncer), Phinneas (the bard), Tortured Artist, Town Commander, Zzyzy, or even one of the Amarians.
RE: Patch 43 Feedback
I didn't try patch 43 yet, but I am creating new Amarian character on patch 44 and noticed when selecting races before hitting Next, Helga doesn't have any voice or lip movement describing their race. I guess it's not implemented yet?
Also when hovering over the cards before you roll the dice there is no popup description for CON - or at least I was unable to trigger it.
